Virginia signed us up for this event through her work.  It was fun because it finished INSIDE Dodger Stadium.  This video clip is dedicated to Lyz O'Keefe - a Dodger Fan to the core.

Life In the Fire Zone

Surviving a large wildfire is only the begining. The after effects of the fire must be dealt with for months afterward.  This photo shows our patio table 3 months after the massive Station Fire.  Our area had a few days of intense wind this month - which kicked up all the soot from the burn area.  It landed... Everywhere - for miles around. 

Marriage License

We trudged over to the lovely Van Nuys county office to wait in line, speak to a lady through bullet proof glass (complete with tinny sounding microphone) to  plunk down $70.  Sign here, sign there, sign this, sign that.  Raise your right hand, I swear I'm who I say I am, yadda yadda yadda.   We emerged with a heafty folder of paperwork, but are now ready to tie the knot!

We have 90 days to get married or re-apply - so I'm sure we'll have an announcement by years end!  Stay tuned.
