Our Snowy Honeymoon

Being married for two months, we were looking forward to our honeymoon.  We headed to the Sierra's to ski over the deep snows that have piled high this winter.  The Sierra's have been our destination for many summer escapes, but in winter they offer a quiet & pristine beauty bathed in angled sun and brilliant snow.  We enjoyed every moment.   Watch the video below to tag along on our adventure!

Sunset in La Jolla

La Jolla Hilton

Just before leaving for our honeymoon,  I attended a conference held by the Leading Jewelers Guild for the guild members.  I co-presented about the members Intranet site that I developed for them.

Left is a photo taken from the hotel lounge (Hilton at Torrey Pines - La Jolla, CA) while working to ready for the next days presentation.

Blackie Finds a New Home

Brushing Blackie
A cat-friendly couple from West Hills came by on this particular Saturday to check out the black kitty seen listed on the web. They emailed Virginia and seemed very interested in Blackie.  We had tried to adopt her out to another home previously. It didn't work out.  Virginia took her back right away.

When we met this new couple there was instant chemistry.  Blackie warmed to them right away and they to her.  Virginia got an update via email a few days later. Blackie is doing great so far - playing with her new set of kitty toys and getting comfortable in her new home.
